Still Mums is a charitable trust that supports parents and whānau who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss.
Our work is grounded in compassion, connection, and the belief that no one should navigate this grief alone.
We provide lovingly curated self-care packages to help nurture emotional and physical well-being during the postpartum period and beyond.
These packages are available to bereaved mothers who have experienced baby loss from 20 weeks gestation through to three months postpartum.
Still Mums is entirely self-funded through fundraising efforts and community generosity, hence needing to have eligibility criteria in place.
In addition to care packages, we offer supportive resources, a peer-support group, community events and awareness initiatives that gently educate whānau and friends on how to care for those grieving a baby.
CARE PACKAGES
We choose cruelty-free, vegan, and natural products for every package. Each item is selected to support emotional and physical well-being with gentle, earth-kind care. Our aim is to offer safe, nurturing items that honour this experience and provide comfort when it’s needed most.
PRACTICAL SUPPORT
Our resources offer practical guidance for the days and weeks after baby loss, helping families understand their options and feel supported through each step.
COFFEE GROUP
A welcoming space to enjoy a hot drink, connect with others, share experiences, and unwind through simple crafting.
SHOP
Our shop provides gentle support items, and every purchase helps us continue caring for families after baby loss.
Still Mums was established by Jade Duley-Priest, following the tragic loss of her first child, Marley, in late pregnancy.
Jade received compassionate care during the loss of her baby, but it wasn’t until she moved to Invercargill that she truly noticed the gap in ongoing support for bereaved parents – especially when it came to practical resources and thoughtful care in the weeks and months that followed.
Still Mums was born from a desire to fill that gap.
Jade began by lovingly creating self-care packages designed to bring comfort to mothers after baby loss. These packages are carefully curated to support emotional and physical wellbeing, offering a small moment of care during an incredibly difficult time. From there, she developed a full suite of resources – including the website she had wished for during her own experience, that gently guides grieving parents through the practical, emotional, and physical aspects of baby loss with compassion and clarity, comprehensive guides for parents facing the devastating news that their baby has died and what to expect during and after birth, support for whānau and loved ones, hospital info packs, and cocoons to hold and honour pēpi with care.
This charitable trust is centred on truly meeting the needs of grieving families — with practical support, heartfelt understanding, and gentle presence through their peer-support groups in Invercargill and Auckland.
With the support of board members Trina, Michelle, Kirsten and Niki, and former member, Helen, Still Mums now reaches families across Aotearoa, offering connection, care, and a reminder that even in the darkest times, no one has to go through it alone.
